Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Bhopal has been
established in 2008 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of
India. Its commitment is to provide quality science education to UG and PG students.
The Institute is looking for a dedicated and competent candidate for the post of
REGISTRAR in the scale of pay of Rs 37,400—67,000 (PB 4) plus Grade Pay
Rs 8700 with allowances and other benefits as admissible to GOI employees
stationed at Bhopal. Suitable candidates may be considered for appointment on
deputation terms also.

Qualification / Experience:
1. A Post graduate with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade, and
2. At least 10 years of experience in administrative functions out of which about
half of the period should be at senior administrative position.
OR
Comparable experience in an R&D Institutions or other institutions of higher
learning.
OR
10 years of administration experience in a University / R&D Institution /
Government / Autonomous Body fully funded by Government of India/State
Govt. out of which half of the period should be in senior administrative position.
Desirable Experience:
Proven ability of administering, preferably in a large educational or research Institution,
with additional degree in Law / Management.
Job Description:
The selected candidate is expected to participate in decision making process at the
conceptual level. He should have initiative, drive and wide ranging experience in all
aspects of academic administration. Besides he will be over-all in-charge of
Administration, Finance & Accounts, Stores & Purchase, Security, Estates etc. and is
expected to provide administrative support to the Director.
The Registrar is Ex-Officio Secretary of the Board of Governors and the Committees
appointed by the authorities and may also be called upon to take up other duties
assigned by the Director of the Institute.
Age Limit: Not more than 55 years on the last date of receipt of application.
